The State Archive of Astana and the Institute of History of Kazakhstan and Central Asia have signed a memorandum of mutual cooperation. This document lays the foundation for achieving common goals in systematizing, preserving, and introducing historical heritage into scientific circulation.

Within the framework of the memorandum, the parties agreed to collaborate in the following areas:
• searching, collecting, and publishing new archival documents related to the history of Kazakhstan;
• digitizing archival materials, creating databases, and improving accessibility through modern technologies;
• organizing practical internships for young researchers and students;
• holding joint scientific and practical conferences, round tables, and seminars;
• preparing and publishing academic collections and documentary editions.

At the signing ceremony, the General Director of the Institute of History of Kazakhstan and Central Asia, Samat Zhumatay, and the leadership of the State Archive of Astana emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation.

They noted that this agreement opens new opportunities for studying the country’s history, particularly by expanding the introduction of archival documents into scientific circulation. It was also highlighted that joint efforts are essential for developing modern archival practices to preserve historical data for future generations.
